Staff and volunteers got a sneak peek of the new Archive and Learning Centre yesterday, which for many was their first glimpse inside the new building. Collections Manager Charlotte Dando and Learning & Interpretation Manager Larissa Paver were particularly keen to view the latest progress; both will be based in the new building when it opens in spring 2013.

Development Project Manager Henrietta Boex gave the staff and volunteers a quick tour of the construction site….that is, once everyone had geared up in high-visibility jackets and hard hats!

“It’s really important that everyone feels involved in the development, right throughout the project. Giving staff and volunteers a behind-the-scenes tour at this stage has gone down really well, and means that people have a sense of what the building will feel like when it’s handed back in the spring. It’s really motivational, and a nice way to wrap up what has been a very busy year for us all.” – Henrietta Boex, Development Project Manager.
